It took me a while to think of it. I have everything I need. Life is so good.
But at the time I was at an Aborigine seminar.
I wished that the native people of Australia, Aborigines, would accept the gospel and join The Church and be happy forever and add their own cultural presentation to the PCC. It would totally work. They could present in Marquesas. Nobody even knows what Marquesas does, why is there even a spot for it? It's a fantastic plan. I love it.
Seriously though....he looks like Santa, if Santa is an Aborigine. That thing in his nose, yeah, that's a Kangaroo bone. He caught, killed, prepared, and ate this Kangaroo. Someone asked him about the bone and he pulled it right out of his nose...and then stuck it right back in no problem. INSANE!
It was a really long seminar. I went for one of my classes because they were playing the didgeridoo. FACT: It is inappropriate for a woman to play the didgeridoo because it is a ceremonial instrument. You must circular breathe when you play the didgeridoo. That body paint is water based.
They danced for us and I filmed it all and then...
they asked for volunteers!!!! You know I was all over that. I got to be an Emu dancer! The aborigine dances imitate their animals. It. Was. So. Fun.
After the dancing we took a break and made our own/finished the made didgeridoos and nose flutes. This wasn't even a 'Music' sponsored thing. This was sponsored by the Peace Building program.
There were not very many people there. Nobody knew about it.
Later, the Aborigine Chief demonstrated other things for us.
Spear throwing. There is a short stick with a hook on the end that is used to propel the other spear. Craziness, yes?
