What does this mean?
It means I paid $50, so I get a pin that goes on my gown for graduation and, for the rest of my life, I am a member of this society that, until I got an email in April, I'd never heard of.
As it turns out- membership in this organization gives me a discount on car insurance.
Oh- it also means that I'm in the top 7.5% of the Junior class.

It's official- I'm Super Nerd!
Well, I feel like Super Nerd. I'm really not. Some of my most brilliant friends were not there. This doesn't mean I'm any smarter than they are (because I'm not), nor does it mean that I work any harder (because I don't). Half of my classes are performance groups- if I showed up, performed, and practiced a little bit, I got an A.
But, it will look good on my grad school application. I'm a little more at ease in that regard, my current major is slightly unrelated to my grad program. Now at least I'll look good on paper.
An Induction Ceremony.....means there was free food! But not really free, seeing as there was a society fee.....
Martin came with me. The inductees stood and said the motto: Philosophìa Krateìto Photôn, "Let the love of learning rule humanity."
Not very many inductees. We lined up, they took our pictures, then we ate.
Sadly there was no dessert. what the heck? So Martin, Michael and I went to foodland and got a Ted's Pie.
lookin good!
